Black Comedy The Anniversary heading to Malvern's Coach House Theatre

Malvern Editorial 11th Jul, 2019   0

A BLACK comedy centred around a possessive widowed mum who does all she can to keep her sons close to her will be staged in Malvern next week.

The Anniversary by Bill Macilwraith sees the mum take over the family’s business after her husband’s death and double the firm’s profits.

Each year she holds an anniversary party insisting her three grown-up sons attend.

She usually manages to get them to comply with her wants but this year the worm has turned and she realises she is losing control of their lives.

She then embarks on a devious and despicable campaign to keep Tom, Terry and Henry close to her.

The Anniversary by the Malvern Theatre Players opens at The Coach House Theatre, Grange Road, on Tuesday, July 16, and runs until the following Saturday.

Performances are at 7.30pm each evening with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets, which are £16 or £12 (over 60s and unwaged), are available by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01684 892277.
