CONTROVERSIAL plans to build more than 100 homes in Malvern Link will go before councillors tonight (Wednesday).
The proposal to construct 110 houses off Lower Howsell Road has been criticised by residents and had looked to be facing rejection with Highways chiefs saying the Spring Lane junction near the site was under strain and further development would add stress to it.
However, as revealed by The Observer in April, officers did a U-turn on their original decision and instead pledged to pump almost £200,000 into the local infrastructure and improvements, if the development got the green light.
The application will be heard by Malvern Hills District Council’s Southern Area Development Management Committee at The Council Chamber on Avenue Road.
It starts at 7pm.
