POLICE in Malvern have seized a modified push bike which had a petrol engine attached to it.
The rider was unable to ride it on the roads because the engine meant it was classed as a motor vehicle .
The cyclist needed to have a helmet, licence, tax and insurance – of which he had none.
It comes just days after Malvern Police put out a warning to riders not to modify bikes with electric engines and urged people to report any incidents of the illegal bikes being used in the area.
