Boost for runners as Malvern Joggers' 10k is set to return next month

Malvern Editorial 11th May, 2021   0

THE MALVERN Joggers 10k race will return next month and will be providing a welcome boost to St Richard’s Hospice.

The annual trail race around the foothills of the Malvern Hills will take place at 7.30pm on June 30.

Everyone is welcome to take part and proceeds from the event will go the hospice – the Malvern Joggers’ chosen charity of the year.

Free places are available for guide runners and all entrants will receive a unique race medal. There are also prizes for first, second, open and then other categories.

The event starts at Mayalls Farm, Watery Lane, Malvern, where there is plenty of car parking.

Malvern Joggers chairman Warwick Taylor said: “We are so pleased to be able to put this race on which is a regular in the local race calendar.

“We are seeing our members benefiting so much from their running, both physically and mentally, and we hope that people will come along and support us and help to raise funds for our charity.

“Whilst we expect to be out of lockdown fully by June 30, we do have Covid plans in place to ensure it will be a safe race to run.”

Visit www.malvernjoggers.co.uk for more information and to register.

Volunteers and marshals are also needed for the event and more details are also available on those roles on the website.
