MALVERN Town Council are hosting auditions in a bid to appoint a new town crier.
Following the retirement of Gillian Baines in 2014, applicants will have the chance to show their credentials at Malvern’s St Geroge’s Day flag raising ceremony on Thursday, April 23.
The first stage of the recruitment process will see candidates show an appropriate and thematic cry. Those who impress will then be shortlisted to attend a more formal interview.
Enthusiasm, flexibility, local knowledge, being polite and approachable are all expected.
