A GUIDE has been launched to detail four new walks which have been specially created to celebrate ‘Malvern’s Marvellous Trees’, writes Ben Workman.
It has been produced with help from the Heritage Lottery-funded Great Malvern Route to the Hills project.
Mike Goodfellow-Smith, the founder of Malvern’s Marvellous Trees, devised the strolls with the help of volunteers and hopes the guide will encourage more people to visit the town to see its natural variety of trees.
“What people don’t realise is that right in the heart of Malvern we have the country’s finest urban arboretum.”
The work has been praised and supported by Coun Beverly Nielsen who represents Priory Ward and is responsible for tourism on Malvern Hills District Council.
The new guides are £3 each, available online at www.malvernsmarvelloustrees.org or from Malvern Book Co-operative, Malvern Tourist Information Centre or Great Malvern Priory.
