Child injured in Malvern hit-and-run

A FIVE-year-old boy was taken to hospital following a hit-and-run in Malvern.

The child was crossing the road on Moat Way when the vehicle, believed to be a 4×4, hit him. It happened about 6.15pm on Thursday (June 18).

The vehicle failed to stop and drove off in the direction of the shops on Moat Way.

Ambulance staff confirmed the youngster, who sustained minor injuries, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident to contact them on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
