Covid-19 deaths in county's acute hospitals at 163 as national figure rises

THE number of people in Worcestershire Acute hospitals who have died and had tested positive for coronavirus has reached 163.

Four of those deaths were announced today, Friday, April 24.

The patients whose deaths have been announced so far were aged between 41 and 98.

in a statement the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with the families and friends of those patients at this very difficult and distressing time.”




Nationally, as of 9am today, April 24, 143,464 people have tested positive for Covid-19.

As of 5pm on Thursday, April 23, of those hospitalised in the UK who had tested positive for coronavirus, 19,506 had died.
