A VARIETY of events have taken place at Malvern’s Dyson Perrins Church of England School to raise funds for the people of Ukraine, writes Billy Powis.
Staff and students have already held pancake and cupcake sales and a raffle with donated prizes, raising several hundred pounds in the first fortnight.
And more events are planned and the school hopes to increase their funds total before the end of the month.
Fred Dowdeswell, the school’s finance and business manager, said he was very proud of how the school had come together in the midst of this crisis.
“The sympathy has been unanimous within the school’s community.
“It has been lovely to see staff and students join together and the donations have flooded in.
“There is a determination to raise as much money as possible and I think everyone here feels they want to do their bit to help a country enduring such an unimaginably difficult time.”
