Fantastic finishes - Malvern Joggers excel in the Pershore multi-terrain 10k

THERE were some great performances – including personal bests and second and third place finishers – when Malvern Joggers took part in their latest tranche of events.

Runners took on the Pershore multi-terrain 10k which began at the town’s leisure centre and took participants along the High Street, over the river and into the surrounding countryside and fields in Wick. They then returned to Pershore, finishing in the Abbey Park with the backdrop of the impressive Pershore Abbey.

Simon Richardson was second overall and 1st in the M35 with a time of 38mins and 56secs.




Neil Warne was just behind in third place in 39mins and 16secs and Paul Milson (43mins and 33secs) was first in his MV65 age group.

Chris Reed, who came in at 46mins and 35secs was 36th, while in 46th and 47th were Warwick Taylor and Chris Prosser (47mins 22secs and 47mins and 23secs respectively).


The first Malvern Joggers woman was Barbara Gawlak in 48mins and 12secs and second in the age category was Annaelle Bolton who finished in 48mins and 32secs.

Jon Gray finished in 49mins, 35secs and Rachael Reed in 50mins, 0.8secs.

Other strong finishers were Jamie Francis, Lesley Ashton, Charlotte Raine, Alison Priest, ,John Raine, Helen Card. Tracy Taylor Charlie Lowndes, Carol Winstanley and Tim Winstanley.
