First aid enthusiasts could sign up for St John Ambulance

KEEN Malvern first aiders are being encouraged to volunteer for St John Ambulance.

The charity is now recruiting up to 70 people from across Hereford and Worcestershire to join its growing team as event first aiders and youth leaders.

People are needed to help out at various events for the cause and to help with supporting youth groups to train the region’s next generation of life savers.

The charity also has a number of vacancies for people to volunteer at its St John Ambulance Badgers, for children aged between five and seven years old, as well as in its Cadet units, which are open to those between ten and 17.

James Brogan, St John Ambulance district manager, said: “If you are over 18, enthusiastic and willing to learn some life saving skills, we want to hear from you.

“Volunteering with us is great way to give something back to your community, develop new skills and experiences and make new friends as part of the St John Ambulance family.”

No previous qualifications or experience is required and training will be provided.
