Fish and chips new to the menu at village pub

RESIDENTS in a Malvern village had a tasty night in store as the manager of a popular pub launched its new fish and chip service.

Jo Walker and her staff at The Chase Inn in Colwall have set up the new takeaway service because there is no traditional fish and chip shop in the village.

Dozens of portions of chips were served up on the service’s opening night on Friday (February 7).

The night also proved a tasty one for village charity The Colwall Orchard Group which was donated £360 to mark the first night of the service.

At the end of the night charity founder Tim Dixon was presented with the cheque by pub staff.

Jo Walker, who manages the pub, told the Observer: “The night was a roaring success. I cannot thank all of my customers enough for their support and I hope our takeaway service goes from strength to strength.

“I would also like to say a special thanks to all the staff not least my chefs Ben Seymore and Cam Moir.”
