MORE than 260 residents turned out to enjoy a Malvern fun day hosted by Action for Children, Fortis Housing and Top Barn Activity Centre.

The event, held at Dukes Meadow Playing Fields, saw 160 children and their family and friends take part in face painting, football, archery and a bouncy castle as well as a host of other games.

Melanie Baker, district council candidate for the Chase, generously donated £100 to make the day really special while the local policing team also played their part.

The Rev Fiona Milton and her family also donated money for a party bus to cap the day off.

Louise Moriarty, Action for Children’s Malvern children services worker, said: “This was an event where everyone in the community came together to put on a fun day and it was brilliant to see it so well supported.

“We are very grateful to everyone who helped us make this happen.”
