THE GREAT Malvern Farmers’ Market has been cancelled until further notice following the introduction of England’s latest lockdown.
It was due to be held this Saturday, January 16, at its winter location of Lyttelton Rooms on Church Street.
But organisers Boffy Markets Ltd, working alongside Malvern Hills District Council, took the decision to cancel the event and will reassess the situation in February.
Coun Sarah Rouse, Malvern Hills District Council leader, said: “It is more important than ever to stay at home and follow Government guidelines to stop the spread of coronavirus.
“It is a shame the farmers’ market has been cancelled but residents can still support local businesses by taking advantage of the delivery services on offer.”

“We can get through this if we pull together, by sadly, staying apart for just a little while longer,” added Coun Rouse.
