Late-night shopping and Christmas shop window trails in Malvern, Upton and Tenbury

Malvern Editorial 19th Dec, 2020   0

RESIDENTS who still need to complete their Christmas gifts for loved ones are being reminded of the late-night shopping times in Great Malvern and Upton-upon-Severn.

Traders will be open in Upton until 7pm on Tuesday, December 22, and businesses in Great Malvern until 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 23.

The late-night shopping days are being held to encourage people to shop local.

There is also a Christmas Shop Window Trail taking place in Malvern, Upton and Tenbury with letters hidden in the windows for youngsters to find.

When rearranged, the letters make a well-known Christmas word or phrase and there it a prize available.

Shoppers are also encouraged to vote for their favourite Christmas window display.

Free parking is also on offer in Malvern Hills District Council owned car parks after 3pm until Christmas Eve.

Coun Sarah Rouse, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Tourism at Malvern Hills District Council, said:

“The offer of late-night shopping and free parking is an opportunity for shoppers to support their local businesses this Christmas after a difficult year.

“There is still time to do some Christmas shopping and to visit town centres with confidence that safety measures are in place”.
