Malvern and Upton-upon-Severn runners urged to take on new virtual challenge

Malvern Editorial 15th Jul, 2020 Updated: 19th Jul, 2020   0

A NEW virtual challenge is on offer to runners across Malvern.

Run RouteQuest gives participants two runs to choose from – one in Malvern and one in Upton-upon-Severn – with each one having ten locations to visit, using an online map.

When runners find each location they take a photograph or selfie.

When they have located all ten they share their pictures on a designated Facebook group or email them to the council to receive a medal for completing the quest.

The challenge begins on Monday, July 20, and ends on August 28 and can be done at any time during the next six weeks.

Among the locations are pubs or historic spots such as St Ann’s Well.

Rachel Nicholls, Malvern Hills District Council’s physical activity and wellbeing officer, said: “This is our first ever virtual running challenge and we are so excited for people across the district to get involved.

“This is a great opportunity for people to explore our wonderful local area and visit many beauty spots whilst being active.”
