POLICE in Malvern have thanked a local primary school after being invited to discuss their role in the community.

Officers from Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Team were delighted to be invited to Great Malvern Primary School to give a talk on policing.

PCSO Kevin Tudge and PC Paul Slaymaker discussed what they do to help and showed them about the kit they carry to help them with their duties.

The children had the opportunity to ask interesting questions, try on police uniform and hats, sit inside a police car and operate the car’s siren and blue lights. Children also saw officers using a police radio.

A spokesperson for Pickersleigh and Chase SNT said: “It is important to us as the local Police team to help build strong links with the local Community, the large majority of what we do is help people, we are open and approachable working hard to keep our Community safe.”
