A TEAM of runners from The Malvern Joggers took on the Shakespeare Half Marathon, experiencing the world famous Stratford-upon-Avon.
Member said to among some of the most historical buildings in the country and through miles of beautiful Warwickshire countryside was a delight.
Chairman Warwick Taylor said “For some this was there first race at this distance and they all did really well.”
The first Malvern Jogger home was 35th placed Simon Richardson in a time of 1hr, 24mins and 19 secs, followed by Jerry Greer (1hr, 38mins, 37secs) and Andrew Brown (1hr, 42mins and 46secs).
Next were Suzie Lane (1hr, 49mins and 21secs), Eleanor Cassell (1hr, 56mins and 35secs and Tony Martin (1hr, 56mins and 36secs).
The rest of the finishers included Warwick Taylor 1:58:24, Jon Gray 1:58:48, John Lucas 2:03:59, Emma Davies 2:05:20, Robert Burns 2:05:48, Keith Ruff 2:08:26, Jane Roberts 2h 03.21 Georgie Dransfield 2:10:59, Carol Goldsmith 2:13:40, Tim Naylor 2:13:54, Catherine Fryers 2:14:49, Tracy Taylor 2:14:59, Helen Card 2:16:46, Rumana Edwards 2:19:17, Viv Tolley 2:19:28, Gemma Linsey 2:29:19, Tim Winstanley 2:29:12, Sophie Barnes 2:32:36, David Brett 2:38:03 and Katy Martin 2:40:09.
