A LUXURY retirement village in Malvern has raised £529.70 for the Alzheimer’s Society by hosting a variety of events for the community, writes Alice Green.
Simon Williams, general manager at Audley Ellerslie, where the event was held, said it was a cause ‘close to many of the hearts of people living there’.
Villagers, staff and members of the local community took part in several activities, including a raffle, barbecue and afternoon tea as well as a charity car wash where staff dressed up as the flowerpot men.
Mr Williams said everyone greatly enjoyed helping raise the grand total, adding the event had ‘definitely brought a few extra laughs to the village’.
Audley Ellerslie welcomed its first residents in spring 2017 and now provides 101 apartments and cottages to over 60s.
