MALVERN Town Council has announced the appointment of its new events co-ordinator.
Dilys Watson takes over the reigns following the resignation of Eadwine Browne in September.
Dilys started work this week and is already getting to grips with organising Town Council events for 2017.
Some of Dilys’ first tasks will be reviewing the Town Council website, expanding the Council’s presence on social media and working alongside community groups to try and improve and expand Malvern’s annual event programme.
Mr Browne’s resignation made front page news in the Observer last month when town councillor Mike Charles called a motion for the post to be temporarily suspended for the council to undergo a major financial review.
But the motion, which was backed by town and county councillor Paul Tuthill, was overwhelmingly rejected at a full council meeting held on Tuesday, September 6.
