Man taken to hospital after crash between a car and tractor transporting cattle in Tenbury Wells

THE EMERGENCY services attended a crash in Tenbury Wells, involving a car and a tractor pulling a trailer full of cattle.

It happened in Cross Street, near where it becomes Oldwood Road.

One man in the car sustained injuries not thought to be serious and, after being treated at the scene, was taken to Hereford Hospital.

A boy, also in the car, was assessed and discharged at the scene.

A vet attended to ensure the health and wellbeing of the cattle which were then transferred to alternative transport to continue their journey.

Fire crews from Leominster, Tenbury and Bromyard attended and made the vehicles safe.

Police and highways officers also went to the scene and Cross Street was closed while emergency service workers dealt with the incident, clearing debris and getting the road reopened.
