Nicol and Co donates tablets to help children from Malvern's Somers Park School with their lockdown learning

SCHOOLCHILDREN in south Worcestershire have been given a helping hand with their lockdown learning after Nicol and Co donated nine new Amazon tablets.

Somers Park School in Malvern, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary in Droitwich and St George’s Catholic Primary in Worcester have each been handed three devices each.

The estate agent has officers in all three areas and the donation was made through the Computers for Home Schooling online fund-raising drive.

The project was set up by London-based Stephen Brown, a supplier to the estate agency sector.

Mr Nicol said: “We made a donation to this worthy cause as estate agents and Stephen immediately got in touch to offer us some devices for our local community.

“We were thrilled to get involved as we know there’s a huge need for more computers to help schools connect with pupils learning from home.

“My managers here at Nicol and Co have now chosen the three schools in their areas to get these devices, and we know they will soon be helping children across the county with their coursework.”

The Computers for Home Schooling project has already raised nearly £42,000 of its £50,000 target and Agents Giving, the charity for the property industry, plans to match-fund the total.
