AN EXHIBITION of toys and games will take place at St Mary’s Church in Hanley Castle this weekend, writes Ben Workman.
Batteries Not Included – from 11am to 5.30pm on Saturday (September 14) and Sunday (September 15) – will show the development of toys throughout the decades.
The free event provides people with the chance to travel back to their childhood through toys, games and puzzles.
Organiser Helen Owens said the community had been helping all the way through the project.
“Many local people have been searching through their cupboards and attics to find treasured toys and games for the exhibition.
“It has been a real trip down memory lane,” said Helen.
There will also be a chance for the public to try out some of the games, toys and puzzles from their youth at a special preview of the event from 7pm on Friday.
