AMATEUR photographers have been challenged to capture the beauty of the Malvern Hills in this year’s Enviro Photo Competition, writes Ben Workman.
The ten best photographers chosen will have their work featured in an exhibition at the Great Malvern Priory which will run for three weeks later this year.
The winners will also receive a framed print.
The contest, organised by Malvern District Council, is open now and runs through the authority’s second annual Enviro Week from October 14 to October 20.
Coun John Raine said: “The Enviro Photo Competition is a great way to highlight the beauty of our district and to celebrate the wonderful place we are fortunate to call home.”
The contest is part of a wider campaign to raise awareness of local environmental issues and the Enviro Week will feature community litterpicks and a Greener Living Fair on October 19.
The competition is not open to professional photographers and images cannot be digitally enhanced.
