PIRATES of Penzance is set to be performed at Rose Bank Gardens next week.
The show, which has been organised by Malvern Town Council, has been produced by Illyria Outdoor Theatre Company and will take place on Wednesday, July 11.
Pirates of Penzance was the fifth major Gilbert and Sullivan collaboration which introduced the much-parodied Major-General’s Song. The opera has been performed for more than a century by D’Oyly Carte Opera Company in Britain as well as other opera and repertory companies around the world.
Residents have been welcomed to bring their own picnics to the outdoor show from 6pm with the performance due to start at 7pm.
