Podcast series based on young town woman's wartime diaries set to be launched at Great Malvern Priory

A SERIES of podcasts based on the wartime diary of a young Malvern woman is set to be launched on Tuesday, May 24.

Malvern Museum has been working in partnership with an academic group from Edinburgh Napier University on the series which is based on Lorna Lloyd’s journal she started in September 1939.

To attend the launch at Great Malvern Priory at 2pm on Tuesday is free but places need to be booked in advance.

The launch will include an illustrated talk about Lorna Lloyd and her war diary, some readings from the diary and Lorna’s poetry and a talk on the podcast with opportunities to listen to some extracts.

There will be light refreshments and the programme is repeated at 5pm. The podcasts will be available through Malvern Museum’s website from Tuesday.

Entry is free but booking is through https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/lorna-lloyds-diary-of-the-war-podcast-launch-event-tickets-307900246927
