Police searching for two men after Malvern Link shoplifting attempt

Malvern Editorial 1st Mar, 2017   0

POLICE are on the search for two men who attempted to shoplift goods from a store in Malvern Link.

Yesterday (Tuesday) at about 1.15pm, the two men entered the shop on Yates Hay Road.

One went to the meat aisle while the other started talking to the cashier at the front of the shop.

The first man re-appeared with a green bag and the shopkeeper approached him and asked to see the contents of the bag as he recognised them as shoplifters.

The man refused, stating the shopkeeper had no right to search his bag, but when told police would be called, he revealed three containers of Actimel baby milk.

He then left the store where the other man was waiting for him.

One of the men is described as Asian, about 60 years old, slim and 5ft 6″ tall with grey medium-length hair, wearing dark trousers, black or navy Adidas shoes and a black coat.

The other is a white male, about 5ft 10″ tall, aged in their mid to late 20s, dark brown hair with medium build and wearing black trousers and trainers, grey hoodie with a black gillet over the top.
