A PROLIFIC burglar has been jailed for four years and banned from entering Malvern for six.
Jake Harbourne, from Stourbridge, has been convicted of three burglary dwelling offences – two of which took place in Malvern.
Between May and June 2023, Harbourne burgled two properties in Malvern before stealing motor vehicles from the addresses.
He plead guilty to three burglary offences on November 13 and was given a four year prison sentence and a six year criminal behaviour order, with multiple conditions, one of which bans him from entering Malvern in its entirety.
Harbourne was convicted following a six month investigation led by South Worcestershire Proactive CID.
The officer in charge of the investigation, DC Chris Tugwell said: “I am pleased with this outcome and the help from the residents of Malvern was particularly helpful.
“Without people coming forward with CCTV and other information it makes these convictions a lot more difficult to achieve.
“I hope this conviction is well received by the victim’s of Harbourne’s offending and sends a clear message that burglars should stay away from our policing area”
