Rallying call to Malvern residents to have their say on where their polling stations are

Malvern Editorial 27th Aug, 2019   0

RESIDENTS can have their say on the proposed changes to polling stations in a review of polling districts being carried out by Malvern Hills District Council, writes Natalie Hanson.

The authority wants residents to reply before the September 20 deadline.

Residents living with a disability or with expertise in disability are particularly encouraged to have their say to make sure polling stations are accessible to all electors.

Areas including Alfrick and Leigh, Kempsey, Link, Pickersleigh and Upton and Hanley may be affected by the new changes.

The final proposals will be submitted in October and any agreed changes will take effect from December 1.

Malvern Hills District Council’s electoral service manager Laura Noonan is urging everyone to take some time to comment to ensure everyone in the district has the opportunity to vote.
