A GROUP of seven neighbours in Tenbury Wells are celebrating winning £1,000 on the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The residents who live in The Cralves Mead netted their windfall after WR15 8EX was announced as a Daily Prize winner yesterday.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners.
He said: “What a brilliant way to start your weekend. Congratulations to our winners, I’m sure they’ll be celebrating tonight!”
At least a third of the revenue generated by ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of the People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted by Girlguiding which has received over £5.2million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Girlguiding is active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.
