A CANCER survivor took to the streets to compete in her first 10km race.
Ledbury resident Sarah Bowring took part in the event in Swansea to raise money for the town’s branch of Marie Curie Cancer Care and had the added complication of finding trainers to fit her size two feet.
The 47-year-old said: “I completed the run in just over an hour and 13 minutes, a time I was pleased with as an amateur, but I think wearing my new bright orange running shoes certainly helped.
“There was a wonderful atmosphere and many of the runners were supporting their own particular charities.”
