AN AWARD-WINNING butcher has asked customers to choose between two speciality sausages ahead of the Colwall Ale House Festival.
D T Waller and Sons which has shops in Colwall and Ledbury has prepared an two varieties, one made with ale and one with cider, which will go on sale between today (Thursday) and Saturday, May 10.
The one voted the most popular will be declared the Colwall Festival Sausage and join the family butcher’s 30 plus regular recipes.
Matt Waller from the D T Waller, said: “Our customers are always looking for new tastes, and I’m sure they will be delighted to help us decide which sausage has the best flavour. I have my own favourite but that remains a secret, the customer is always right of course. We are delighted to support the Colwall Ale House Festival and take part in what promises to be a great community event.”
Leslie Hitchen, organiser of the Colewall Ale House Festival, added: “A bit of fun local competition will help decide, and help launch the festival with a banger.”
