THREE choirs will be teaming up for a gala concert at Malvern Link’s Holy Trinity Church next month.
The Malvern Male Voice Choir will be joined by Worcester’s Sanctuary Group Choir and Holy Trinity’s own junior choir for the concert on Saturday, June 9 at 7.30pm.
Sanctuary Group Choir and Malvern Male Voice Choir were originally due to perform together in March, but the performance was cancelled when the Beast from the East met Storm Emma.
With three choirs now performing on the same evening, a packed and varied programme is on offer with music from six musicals including Les Miserables, songs from TV and film, a few pop favourites, two Welsh male voice choir standards as well as something composed in 1595.
Charles Pavey, director of music at Holy Trinity, said: “This concert at Holy Trinity is an annual event and is a glorious way to spend a Saturday evening as we approach midsummer.
“The Male Voice Choir and Holy Trinity’s Junior Choir are regular performers at these concerts so it is a pleasure to welcome our special guest choir, the Sanctuary Group Choir from Worcester, which will add a new musical dimension to the occasion.”
Tickets cost £10 while under-18s enter for free.
