SPECIAL needs support workers in Malvern took on a gruelling mud run in a bid to raise hundreds of pounds to help disabled children.
Kim Philpotts, who is the founder of What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful, was joined by Michelle Brookes and other members for the Mud Runner event at Eastnor Castle.
They raised £350, which Kim said would be used to buy much-needed equipment for the special needs centre, which is due to open in Malvern Link next month.
“It was one of the hardest things I have ever done,” she said.
“I did it for all the children who struggle with everyday life with a disability or additional needs, when they are put in situations they don’t feel comfortable in.
“It was a very proud day and a big thanks to everyone who has sponsored so far.”
The runners also wore vests which were kindly sponsored by Andrew Slater’s Hair Salon, in Malvern.
Kim added: “Andrew Slater and his assistant manager, Paula Garfield, have always been very supportive of the non-profit organisation by donating raffle prizes in the past, sponsoring us and collecting monies.”
The organisation’s next big fund-raiser, the Hollywood Ball, will be held at Standbrook Abbey on October 10.
