A ROAD between Malvern and Colwall was shut for several hours after a severe car fire in the area.
The vehicle – virtually unrecognisable after the blaze – was extinguished by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service on Wyche Road.
Malvern Police also attended.
The road has now been reopened – the vehicle was removed and granules were placed on the carriageway to soak up spillages of oil and fuel.
Drivers using Wyche Road are urged to drive carefully along it.
