Volunteering opportunities across Malvern on offer at Forum's Facebook event

Malvern Editorial 29th May, 2022   0

A VIRTUAL event to showcase volunteering opportunities across Malvern district will take place on Facebook from 9am to 4pm on June 10, writes Lucy Kesseler.

The event – hosted by Malvern Hills District Council – will have a variety of opportunities on offer, such as dog walking, charity volunteering, community transport or nature preservation.

Malvern Hills District Volunteering Forum is a network of more than 30 local groups and charities which work with volunteers in the district, coming together twice-a-year to share updates, discuss issues and collaborate.

Organisations in the Malvern Hills District can join for free.

Previously 17 volunteering groups collaborated to achieve over 11,000 Facebook participants.

Malvern Hills District Portfolio Holder, Coun Tom Wells said: “Last year’s Virtual Volunteer Fair was a great success, and we hope to build on that this time around.

“Dedicating your time to help others is a wonderful thing and is not only very fulfilling but it is also a brilliant addition to your CV.”

Visit Facebook.com/MalvernHillsDC for more on the volunteer fair and go to malvernhills.gov.uk/volunteering for further details on the Malvern Hills Volunteer Forum.
