CLARENCE Park has been officially opened by Angela Rippon OBE.
The BBC presenter unveiled a plaque at the Malvern Link based retired housing complex to mark the occasion.
The £20million development, which is a flagship facility for Fortis Living, was completed in June and residents have been moving in since.
There are more than 100 apartments as well as a village centre including a coffee shop, gym, hairdressers, bar, entertainment venue and arts facilities.
Clarence Park is also open to the wider community.
Julie Willington, extra care services manager, said: “The last few months have been very busy with residents moving into their new apartments so it’s nice to take a moment to officially open Clarence Park. Angela Rippon was delightful and the residents really enjoyed chatting to her.”
