Will you be taking part in Malvern Rotary Club's annual pancake race?

MALVERN Rotary Club is on the hunt for teams take part in its annual fund-raising pancake race.

The event, which will take place in Priory Park on February 20, is now in its 11th year and has become a popular fixture in the club’s calendar.

The elite (under-50s) and veterans (over-50s) race, which starts at 12.30pm are the main events.

Business entries can allocate 50 per cent of the money raised to a charity of their choice while charities retain 100 per cent of their sponsorship money.




Teams of four are sought for both races. They have to negotiate the course while flipping pancakes in a relay format.

Meanwhile, the toddlers event starts at 11.45am with entries welcomed from nursery schools.


All participants will be receive a prize donated by Waitrose.

A Malvern Rotary Club spokesperson said: “Join us to raise funds for your charities whilst taking part in a fun event in the splendour of Priory Park.

“Last year’s event raised more than £3,000 towards our charity goal.”

Teams are welcome to wear fancy dress and there is a prize for the best dressed team at the event, which is also supported by Morgan Motors and Malvern Hills District Council, as well as Waitrose.
