A SHOWCASE of work created by Worcestershire-based artists has gone on show in Malvern.
The works – in a variety of media, including painting, photography, printmaking, enamelling, jewellery making, sculpture, illustration and ceramics – are on show on Exhibition Walk outside Waitrose and Wilko all throughout July and August.
The showcase offers an example of the work of the 82 artists who will open their studios, homes and shared spaces to visitors for Worcestershire Open Studios, which takes place over the bank holiday weekend from August 28 to 30.
Gillian Simpson, one of the event organisers and a Bromsgrove-based painter, said, “We have such a diverse and talented community of artists in our county and this exhibition is a chance to bring some of their work to a wider audience.
“We hope people will stop, take a look and feel inspired to visit some of the studios that will be open as part of our main event over the bank holiday weekend.”
A delicate illustration of honeysuckle by Laura Nicholson of Colwall is one of the images in the Church Walk exhibition.
