IT WAS a day to forget for Barnards Green with the bat as they fell to a crushing eight-wicket defeat to Halesowen in Birmingham League Division One.
The North End Lane side were skittled out for just 88, with Ryan Tongue (13) and Oli Swift (12) the only players to break into double figures.
Charles Hartley (5-29) and Masharraf Shazad (1-4) tore through the Green batting line-up.
Opener Edward Kilbee (57 not out) then led the Halesowen charge as they eased to 89-2 after 17 overs to claim victory.
Green travel to Bromsgrove on Saturday.
