WORCESTER Nomads boosted their hopes of avoiding the drop from Worcestershire County League Division One with a three-wicket victory over Chaddesley Corbett.
Corbett opted to bat and posted 221-9 from their allotted 50 overs with Tahseel Ahmadzai (51) and Chris Mole (45) top scoring while Joshua Hawes (4-27) picked up the lion’s share of the wickets.
In reply Nomads opener Guy Davies (79) set the tone but the visitors looked in trouble at 167-7.
However, an unbroken eighth wicket partnership between Stephen Emson (31 not out) and Hawes (27no) pushed Nomads to 226-7 with two balls to spare.
Nomads entertain promotion-chasing Stourport on Saturday.
