HARVEY GROVES hit a half century for Worcester Nomads who returned to winning ways in Worcestershire County League Division One with a tow-wicket success over Burghill, Tillington & Weobley.
Burghill were bowled out for 217 after opting to bat with Owen Morgan (59) and Ben Parkinson (61) top scoring for the visitors.
Groves (3-43), Patrick O’Driscoll (2-38) and Cameron Blakey (2-51) shared the wickets.
In reply Nomads slumped to 90-5 but the sixth-wicket partnership between Groves (50) and Stephen Emson (30) pushed the score to 170 before the hosts finished on 218-8.
Nomads make the trip to Bewdley on Saturday.
