Hectic week could make or break our season, says Malvern Town boss

BOSS Les Jones believes this week will make or break Malvern Town’s West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division season.

The Hillsiders will have played four games in seven days come Saturday and Jones has called on his players to win all those fixtures to maintain their hopes of a top-two finish.

Malvern ran out 3-1 winners at Cradley Town last Saturday and were due to make the trip to Pegasus Juniors tonight (Tuesday).

They are then on the road tomorrow (Thursday) when they travel to Hereford Lads Club before following that up with an away clash at Wolverhampton Casuals on Saturday.

“This week is absolutely huge for us,” said Jones.

“The squad is going to best tested as not all the players will be able to get time off work for two midweek games.

“However, I am confident we have a strong enough team to get through what really is a make or break period.

“We need to have won all four of our games come Saturday as we have huge games at Tividale and Wolverhampton Sporting Community on the horizon.”

Striker Kyonn Evans (thigh strain) is the only injury doubt for Malvern during a hectic fixture schedule this week.
