MALVERN Town scored five goals for the second time in four days with a 5-0 victory away at Dudley Sports in the West Midlands Premier Division.

Louis Loader (2), Adam Sauntson, Ben Lane and Josh Hunt bagged the goals at Hillcrest Avenue on Saturday afternoon to fire the Hillsiders to an emphatic victory and up to fourth in the table.

The 5-0 victory over Sports followed Wednesday nights’ 5-1 away victory at Dudley Town.

Hunt (2), Loader, Harry Clark and Matt Turner were on target.

Speaking after the victory over Dudley Sports, Hillsiders joint-boss Hooper said: “The lads did really well. We bossed it from start to finish.

“It was a pleasing performance where we adapted well to the conditions and worked hard.

“The goals are flowing at the moment but we are also delighted with the clean sheet because it is something we have been working on.

“We’re building on that momentum now and things are clicking into place for us.”

Up next for Malvern is a home clash against high-flying Tividale but Hooper is confident his side can keep their good run of form going.

“It’s come at a good time for us as the lads are playing with real confidence and belief,” he said.

“We’re delighted with where we’re at right now and we’re already looking forward to the challenge of the next game.”
