LEWIS HOOPER took five wickets for Rushwick who remain well in the Worcestershire County League Division Three promotion race, despite slumping top a 69-run defeat to Avoncroft.
Croft were put into bat after losing the toss, with Hooper (5-41) doing the damage with the ball to help hustle the visitors out for 158 in the 44th over.
However, Rushwick folded to 89 all out in their reply after Jonathan Hunter (5-17), Paul Athey (2-38) and Jon Bird (3-16) tore through their batting line-up.
Only Paul Wyatt (46) and Dan Metcalfe (15) broke into double figures for Rushwick who remain three points off second-placed Harborne who clung on for a losing draw against Netherton.
Rushwick entertain unbeaten league champions Lye on Saturday.
