KEMPSEY’s tough season in Worcestershire County League Division Two ended with a crushing 139-run defeat to Bromyard.
Bromyard batted first, with Zahid Saeed’s 110 and Nick Leighton’s 73 firing the Herefordshire side to an imposing 295-7 from their allotted 50 overs.
Adam Baker (4-60) starred with the ball for second-from-bottom Kempsey who were all out for 156 in reply.
Late order batsman Tristan Robinson top scored with 41 while Will Yarnold (4-40) did the damage with the ball.
