MALVERN Town started their West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division campaign with a goal-fest as they edged past Bilston Town Community 4-3.
The Hillsiders battled back from 2-0 down to take a 3-2 lead, thanks to two goals from Matthew Turner, including a penalty, and one from Kyonn Evans on his competitive debut since signing from Littleton.
With five minutes remaining the hosts levelled the game but the drama was far from over.
Just moments later Evans’ volley from 20 yards found the back of the net to secure the three points for Malvern.
Les Jones’ side make the trip to Wellington Amateurs on Saturday (3pm KO).
