SKIPPER and wicket-keeper Ollie Ranscombe fell just one short of a century in Worcester Nomads’ 100-run victory over Cookley in Worcestershire County League Division One.
Ranscombe hit 99 off 95 balls before being removed by Michael Wood (2-53) as Nomads closed on 279-9.
Mark Groves also chipped in with an unbeaten 73.
Stephen Emson then took 4-41 with the ball as Cookley were bustled out for 179 in their reply.
Nomads play host to Evesham on Saturday.
