SKIPPER and wicket-keeper Ollie Ranscombe fell just one short of a century in Worcester Nomads’ 100-run victory over Cookley in Worcestershire County League Division One.

Ranscombe hit 99 off 95 balls before being removed by Michael Wood (2-53) as Nomads closed on 279-9.

Mark Groves also chipped in with an unbeaten 73.

Stephen Emson then took 4-41 with the ball as Cookley were bustled out for 179 in their reply.
