GEORGE RHODES hit a century for Barnards Green who moved to within nine points of the Birmingham League Division One promotion spots with a resounding 101-run victory over basement boys Brockhampton.
Rhodes smashed 120 off 141, including 12 fours and three sixes, as the Green finished on 237 all out in the 51st over.
Josh Tongue chipped in with 42 while Adam Hewlett (5-73) was pick of the Brockhampton bowlers.
Brockhampton’s reply got off to a disastrous start, slumping to 26-6 before a battling display from the lower order pushed the visitors to 136 all out.
Phil Harris (3-29) and Josh Blunt (3-24) did the damage with the ball.
Green are on the road to Shropshire side Oswestry on Saturday.
