RUSHWICK remain in the Worcestershire County League Division Three promotion spots, despite suffering a 42-run defeat to league leaders Alvechurch & Hopwood.
A&H batted first and were bowled out for a respectable 247 in the 49th over.
Rushwick gave it a good go in reply but fell just short as they were back in the pavilion for 205 in the 42nd over.
Rushwick play host to Netherton on Saturday.
